On the 23rd of August, I am going to be going to an area just outside of Bristol and Somerset to a lovely lodge for TeenVGN’s Summer Camp 2015. I booked in January after the age limit was raised, I had been disappointed at first thinking I would be too old to attend yet too young to volunteer. The camp will have a jam packed itinerary including – a music workshop, arts and crafts, a sports day, a quiz, movie nights and game nights, a cookery workshop, making cosmetics, a nature walk and more.
Not to mention the fact 3 delicious meals and snacks/drinks are provided. As TeenVGN are a non-profit organisation donations from vegetarian and vegan and vegan friendly businesses have been flooding in. These include but are not limited to Choc-Shot Hot Chocolate, Goody Good Stuff Sweets, Provamel Milk, Meridan cooking sauces and yeast spread, Plamil mayo and chocolate, Gococo coconut water, Creative nature bars, Violife Pizza Cheese, Vegusto cheese and deli products, Frys Foods sausages, burgers and BBQ products, Riverford organic fruit and vegetable boxes, Raw Chocolate Company chocolate, Ten Acre Popcorn, Jason skincare products, Native deodorants, Sarelle bars, Ananda mallows, Bute Island Sheese and more!
I am really happy to support an amazing organisation like TeenVGN but I am really looking forward to all the awesome activities, fun and games too! I am excited to be spending a week in the company of a ton of compassionate young people, teens and adults.
The workshops will be ran by special guests such as Little Miss Meat Free and Heavenly Organic Skincare, the talks will be ran by some amazing organisations and the camp will be ran by these people-
So yeah, look forward to updates on twitter etc and a trip report when I get back!
Thanks for reading!
